What is BFLP? 
A non-profit organization offering before-school world language classes at Bennett Elementary School. BFLP classes are a fun way to become familiar with another language and culture in a non-threatening environment. The Bennett Foreign Language Program is run by a board of committed parent volunteers who hire the teaching staff and manage the program.
 
We are seeking volunteers to take over board positions for the 2020-2021 school year to keep this program alive and thriving. Please contact bflp_info@bennettptsa.org if you are interested.
 

Who can take classes? 

This program is available to all elementary school students. Non-Bennett students and home-schooled children are welcome.
 

What classes are offered?

Spanish, French and Mandarin Chinese. If there is enough interest, additional languages may be added. The classes vary according to demand and will be determined by September 15th.
 

When and where are classes held?

All language classes are held twice a week in Bennett classrooms from 8:00a.m. to 8:50a.m. The program runs from the beginning of October to end of May.
 

How large are the classes?

Class size is limited to 12 students. Student placement is awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis. Two options are available if a class is full:
 
1) Submit student’s name to a waiting list; or
2) Register for an alternate choice class.
 
Being on a wait list does not guarantee a spot will open up.

Tuition Rates

The 2019-2020 tuition rate is $375 for the full year, plus a credit card fee. Registration is now open for the 2019-2020 school year at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bennett-foreign-language-classes-2019-2020-tickets-69179428533

Tuition Payments

 

On-line payment may be made in full through Eventbrite at the time of enrollment. If you are unable to pay in full at registration time, please contact the registrar to set up an alternate payment schedule.

Timely payment is appreciated.

Enrollment will be accepted only if accompanied by either full tuition fees, or by pre-arranged payment schedule. If you wish to arrange a payment schedule, please contact the Registrar as soon as possible. All such requests will be in confidence. Limited hardship scholarships are available for continuing students; please apply in writing to the registrar.
