Staff Appreciation

The relationship between child and teacher is the most important one during the school day. We honor our teachers once a month with our Luncheons. Volunteers bring in food to show our appreciation for their work with our students. In addition, we host an annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and activities as part of Teacher Appreciation week in May. The luncheon provides an opportunity for our teachers to enjoy a nice lunch together as we celebrate their hard work and dedication to our students.

NATIONAL APPRECIATION WEEK

In the Spring, Bennett participates in the National Teacher Appreciation Week by providing fun themed treats and activities for the Bennett Staff. This is a great way to put your party planning & organizational skills to work. Last year was loads of fun! The PTSA provided daily gestures of gratitude including: thank you signs for each staff member that the kids can sign, a Coffee Cart, Hero Sandwich lunch, Pop Corn Bar, “Soup”er Lunch & a Dessert Bar. In addition, families are asked to bring personal thank you cards & flowers to their teacher.

MONTHLY STAFF LUNCHEONS

Once a month, one grade hosts a potluck style themed luncheon for the entire staff. The Bennett team really looks forward to and appreciates these creative lunches. The schedule is coordinated by the PTSA Staff Appreciation chairs & provides theme guidance & tips for a successful event. Each grade hosts just one luncheon per year.

We’d love to have you join our team of volunteers. No matter how much (or little!) time you have, we have a spot for you!
