Volunteer Hours Grants
With just a little effort, you can help Bennett PTSA even more! Many companies have programs in place where they provide grants to nonprofits that employees volunteer with on a regular basis. There is no easier way to increase your impact and investment in our children’s education!
What are Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are corporate giving programs created to encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work. Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.
How are they important for Bennett PTSA?
Every dollar counts and volunteer grants are free money for our children's education. Bennett parents are a dedicated and engaged group of volunteers so it’s likely that there are volunteer grant opportunities going to waste. Why? There is often limited information on where our volunteers work and a lack of knowledge on whether each specific company offers volunteer grant programs. It’s also tough for us to communicate guidelines and instructions to our volunteers.
So check with your HR department and find out how you can double or triple your impact with additional funding for our PTSA.
If you have not already done so, now is the time to list Richard Bennett Parent Teacher Association (Bennett PTSA) as the recipient of your company’s Matching Gift program. Unfortunately, our PTSA cannot make the request on your behalf – the process needs to be initiated by you. But what we can do is show you just how easy it is:
Simply choose one of the following options:
Contact your HR Department and ask them about Matching Gifts and Volunteer Grants
Complete and submit the paper match form provided by your employer
Provide your information through your company’s electronic submission process
Search for “matching gifts” on your company intranet.
