Bennett Book Swap: End of the year favorite
This event typically takes place in the June and organized by our school librarian - Ms. Johnson. During a week, students can bring their gently used books to exchange them for books brought in by other students.
Volunteers needed for the Book Swap Committee to:
Planning | Before Book Swap (1 - 2 hours/day a few days before the swap)
- Receive and tally books to swap
- Organize books by category
- Set up Book Swap room
- If needed, setup book swap volunteer signup
- Publicize Swap in PTSA Newsletter, Website and social media
Operations | During Book Swap (easy 30 mins. shifts)
- Orient students during swap
- Assist during swap checkout (control/count and record number of books taken by each student)
- Rearrange books between grade visits for make it easier for students to find books
